Feb. 11--All factories will be given until the end of the month to begin properly disposing of their waste through authorised treatment plants, according to Industry Minister Pinit Charusombat.
From March 1 on, it will be forbidden to mix industrial waste with the household garbage being collected by municipalities.
The measure is expected to raise the volume of industrial waste handled by authorised treatment plants to seven million tonnes per year, from the current two million tonnes.
