HireVue Chief Operating Officer Co-Authors Article for IHRIM Journal.

Video interviewing pioneer HireVue reaffirms its leadership in HR technology innovation with an article in the most recent IHRIM Journal (Volume VIII, Number 6) which focuses on technology innovation in talent management. Authored by HireVue Chief Operating Officer and Penn State faculty member Chip Luman and PathPoint Consulting Practice Leader Dr. Van M. Latham, the article titled "Video Interviewing: Spearheading a Fundamental Shift in Talent Acquisition" was selected for publication by the IHRIM Journal after careful consideration of its research and relevance to the journal's audience.

"Talent Acquisition is undergoing a major shift right now," says Dr. Latham. "The interview process in particular has changed little in the past 25 years. It took a recession to get employers thinking about new ways to innovate in the interview process and video interviewing from providers like HireVue seems to be having the greatest impact."

HireVue's solutions include both one-way virtual and four-way live video interviews that are securely recorded to the HireVue system and used to screen candidates in the hiring process. HireVue's proprietary candidate evaluation tools to easily compare, contrast, and assess talent using the captured video interviews.

"When people are first exposed to video interviewing, they recognize the potential savings on interview travel-related costs immediately," says Chip Luman. "Of course that's important, but consider the cost of one mis-hire. It can run as much as 28 times base salary. This article shows how video interviewing helps to keep this from happening by improving quality of hire and the overall talent acquisition process. We're honored the IHRIM Journal selection committee recognized the importance of this message and included it in the journal."

Mr. Luman and Dr. Latham will present the article and show off the HireVue solution in a webinar titled "Video Changes Everything" today at 11 AM Pacific, 2 PM Eastern.
